The problems hotels and venues face
- Questions at every hour. Check-in time, parking, whether the hall seats 200. The front desk phone rings while the receptionist is checking a guest in.
- Reservations in three places. A notebook, a WhatsApp chat and a spreadsheet, so the same room or hall gets promised twice.
- No-shows hold rooms. A guest who never arrives keeps a room off the market, and nobody records it.
- Kitchen orders by shouting. Restaurant and room service orders reach the kitchen by word of mouth, and some are delivered and never paid for.
- Event enquiries go cold. Someone asks about a wedding or a conference, gets a price, and nobody follows up.
- More than one property, no single view. The owner calls each manager to find out how the week went.
How NETICS solves them
Answers for guests, day and night
Put your room types, rates, policies, directions and event packages in the Knowledge Base. Your NETICS agent answers on your website chat and website voice from the documents you published, in English, Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. On Growth, a NETICS phone line answers calls with the same knowledge. Questions sent to you on WhatsApp are answered too. When NETICS cannot answer, it hands the guest to your team in the Omnichannel Inbox, where a person can take over.
Rooms and halls in one calendar
In Bookings, each room, suite or hall is a resource with a type, capacity, price, location, features and weekly hours. Mark one Available, Unavailable, In use or Maintenance. A reservation moves through Pending, Confirmed, Checked in and Completed, or ends as Cancelled or No show; a Waitlist holds guests hoping for a gap. The page shows Today, Upcoming, Upcoming confirmed, No-show rate and Waitlist at the top, with Calendar, List and Resources views.
Reservations can come from your own website through the developer platform, or from a NETICS website's booking section, which only offers times the room's capacity allows. With the Appointment process switched on under Operations, your NETICS agent in website chat collects a booking request and files it, once the guest confirms, for the front desk.
Restaurant, bar and room service orders
On the Orders page, choose the "Food and kitchen" order flow: Pending, Confirmed, Preparing, Ready, Out for delivery, Delivered, with Delivery, Pickup and Dine in. Rename any step in your own words, for example "On its way to the room". Your menu lives in Products, and your NETICS agent on website chat takes orders from items in stock. It totals from your prices, creates the order only after the guest replies "Yes, place the order", and sends a secure payment link. No order reaches the last step until the payment is verified. The kitchen manager can move orders from the business WhatsApp number with short commands such as CONFIRM, PREPARING, READY and STATUS. See restaurants and food for more on the kitchen side.
Event enquiries and more than one property
Keep event enquiries in NETICS CRM and move them through the pipeline. Each property can be a branch: Branch Management compares them, and managers can filter the console to their own. A second branch needs Growth.
A website that books into NETICS
On Enterprise, the Website Builder has a "Hotel, shortlet or events venue" layout: a home page with Book your stay, Rooms, and Events with an event enquiry form. Its booking section writes straight into Bookings.
An example day
- 1am. A traveller asks the website chat of an Abuja guest house whether late check-in is possible. NETICS answers from the house rules.
- 9am. The front desk opens Bookings, confirms two pending reservations and marks last night's missing guest as No show, which frees the room.
- 1pm. A guest orders lunch through the website chat and pays by the link. The kitchen replies PREPARING from WhatsApp and marks the order Delivered when it reaches the room.
- 4pm. The events manager opens a wedding enquiry in NETICS CRM and books a hall viewing for Saturday.

Frequently asked questions
Is NETICS a hotel property management system?
No. It is a booking calendar, an order board and an AI agent working on the same customer records. Bookings treats each room as a resource with a capacity, a price and hours, which suits guest houses, shortlets and event halls well.
Can guests book a room by themselves?
Yes, on a website. Your own site can create bookings through the public API, and a NETICS website on Enterprise has a booking section that books into your calendar. In website chat, NETICS takes the request and your team confirms it.
Can NETICS answer the front desk phone?
On Growth, NETICS can answer a managed phone number with your published knowledge. When a caller needs a person, NETICS tells them someone will call back and alerts your team.
What happens when a guest does not show up?
Mark the booking No show. The time is released, the No-show rate on the Bookings page updates, and you can restore the booking if the guest turns up after all.
Does it work for event halls and shortlets?
Yes. A resource can be anything you let out, and a booking can be a reservation, an event or a meeting.
