NETICS for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors

Orders, stock, purchasing, deliveries and invoices on one system, so a depot count, a supplier delivery and a customer payment all tell the same story.

The problems manufacturers and distributors face

  • Stock counts nobody trusts. The notebook says 300 cartons, the warehouse has 260, and nobody knows what is on the truck between depots.
  • Orders arrive at all hours. Retailers and distributors order by WhatsApp, phone and email, and an order taken late at night is forgotten by morning.
  • Buying without a trail. Purchases are made without approval, goods arrive short or damaged, and nobody writes down what was rejected.
  • Goods leave before money arrives. An order is marked delivered while the payment is still "coming".
  • Bulk buyers want proper quotations. Discounts, VAT and a validity date, in a document they can sign off.
  • Several depots, no single view. Each branch reports in its own spreadsheet at the end of the month.

How NETICS solves them

Orders that move like parcels

On the Orders page, choose the "Products and parcels" order flow: New, Confirmed, Packing, Ready to ship, Shipped and Delivered, by Delivery or Collection. Rename any step to match your floor. An order cannot reach Delivered until its payment is verified. Your team can give a discount on an order, and an invoice raised from it carries the same total. Read more about orders and payments.

Your catalogue lives in Products, with SKUs, categories and prices. Fill it from a CSV or JSON file, from a nightly catalogue feed, or from your own systems through the public API, which syncs up to 2,000 products a call.

Stock you can trust

Inventory, on Growth, keeps every change as a movement with a reason and the balance it left: Receive stock, Record a count, Adjust stock, returns and wastage. File stock at locations such as a warehouse, a shelf, a cold room or a vehicle, under a branch. Transfers between branches go from Requested to In transit to Received; dispatching reserves the quantity, so goods in a van are counted once. Set a reorder point and NETICS raises a running-low alert, at most once a day per line. When an order is paid, its quantities come off stock by themselves.

Buying from suppliers

Procurement, on Growth, keeps "what the business needs, what was approved, what was ordered, and what actually turned up". Anyone can raise a request; it is submitted for approval, converted to a purchase order and sent to the supplier. Receive goods records what arrived, what passed inspection and what went back, and part deliveries stay open. Paying a purchase order writes an expense into Finance, where the Suppliers tab shows what you have spent with each one.

Quotations, group customers and deliveries

On Enterprise, My Enterprise adds Quotations with a discount, a VAT rate, a validity date, a PDF and a customer link to accept, turned into an invoice in one step. Group customers link one customer that several companies in your group deal with, while each company keeps its own records. Delivery logistics plans dispatches, assigns a staff driver or an outside driver and a vehicle, records proof of delivery, and records discrepancies before a delivery is completed.

Customers, money and reports

Each distributor and retailer is a record in NETICS CRM. Finance raises invoices, records payments and shows who owes you and for how long. On Growth, Accounts gives you the trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, and the Analytics page shows how the business is moving. A second branch, for a second depot or factory, also needs Growth.

An agent that watches the gaps

On Growth, the Operations Agent in Business agents looks for stock at or below its reorder point that no open purchase request covers, along with stuck orders and deliveries, and drafts purchase requests for your approval.

An example day

  1. 6:30am. A Kano retailer's overnight order sits in New on a beverage distributor's board.
  2. 8am. The depot manager confirms it, moves it to Packing, and sees one line is running low.
  3. 10am. The Operations Agent has proposed a purchase request for that line. Once approved, it goes to the supplier as a purchase order.
  4. 2pm. The supplier's truck arrives. The store officer receives the goods, rejects two damaged cartons, and the rest go into stock.
  5. 5pm. The retailer's payment is verified, and the dispatcher moves the order to Delivered.

Frequently asked questions

Can stock go negative?

A paid sale is never refused for lack of stock, so a count can go below zero. When it does, the line shows in Running low, which tells you a receipt or a count was missed.

Can we track goods moving between our depots?

Yes, on Growth. A transfer is requested, dispatched and received, and stays visible as In transit until the other branch confirms arrival.

Does NETICS connect to our transporter's tracking?

No. Calling a carrier's tracking system is not available. On Enterprise, Delivery logistics records your own dispatches, drivers, vehicles and proof of delivery.

Can our sales reps take orders on WhatsApp?

Your team can take an order from a WhatsApp chat and send a secure payment link from the Omnichannel Inbox. NETICS itself answers questions on WhatsApp, and takes orders on your website chat.

Do you track serial numbers?

Not yet. Stock is counted by product line, with locations, branches and a full movement history.
